Christmas Eve Was Glorious!

Greetings in the Name of our Lord,

Christmas Eve was glorious! Thank you to the host of volunteers who have made this Christmas season so special. Despite the rain, we had great attendance for our Christmas Eve candlelight services. The spirit was awesome throughout the building. Stonebridge United Methodist Church is a special place where all people are accepted with grace and love. As we approach the new year, please know that I continue to pray for you and your families.

This Sunday is Pajamas and Pancakes. We will have breakfast at 10:30 and worship at 11:00 a.m. Wear your pajamas or comfortable clothes. It is going to be a great Sunday to be together in one service.

Year end giving. Thank you for your continued support of Stonebridge UMC with your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. To date, we have had an awesome December offering. But with one Sunday to go, we are still about $53,000 behind expenses. We can do this.

Amy and I plan to make an additional yearend gift. I would like to invite you to join us in this effort. Any gift of any size will help us finish the year strong. Many hands lighten the load. To ensure tax deductibility, contributions must be postmarked or given by December 31, 2024.

Thank you in advance for all you do for Stonebridge UMC!

Are you over 70 1/2?  You can make a direct transfer from an IRA to SUMC without having to include the distribution as taxable income while counting toward any annual required minimum distribution. For more information, go to our QCD Information page.

Please don't forget the benefits of donating stock. You can avoid tax on any appreciated value while leveraging the support you can provide to SUMC. Consult your tax advisor to arrange or email our finance office at finance@mysumc.org for directions. I thank my God for every remembrance of you, always in every one of my prayers for all of you, praying with joy for your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:3-6)

2025 is almost here. Let’s make the coming year the best ever for Stonebridge United Methodist Church!

May the grace, peace, and blessings of our Lord be with you.
