This is an Amazing Church

Greetings in the Name of our Lord,

Last week, we had our first two home gatherings in our Summer Listening Tour – Making Stonebridge UNSTOPPABLE. Thanks to Jack and Kym Radke and Roger and Amy Dankel for opening their homes to host these two gatherings. We shared hopes, dreams, and expectations for the future of Stonebridge. Most exciting was the litany of ideas on how to make Stonebridge UNSTOPPABLE!

One person shared, “I have been going to Stonebridge for a long time, in all those years, this was the best meeting I have attended.” On Friday I got the word that someone was willing to underwrite the landscaping and soil erosion on the north side of the building near the office entrance. At the Thursday home meeting, I took over three pages of notes. Each of these gatherings was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and hope. It was great!

Our next gatherings will be Sunday, June 16, Tuesday, June 18, and Thursday, June 20. Please sign up here. Bring a new member or new attendee.

This week our building has been teeming with volunteers decorating for Vacation Bible School. The upstairs area has been transformed into an underwater wonder. This weekend the rest of the decorations will go up in the worship areas and downstairs to finalize preparation for VBS.

This is an amazing church. When we need volunteers, workers, and servants, the response is outstanding. We have over 50 volunteers for VBS. Great job! Keep it up! We can always use more. If you want to show up even for one morning, please do. I promise, it will be fun!

This Sunday, I will be dealing with “The Peace of God”. We will look at Isaiah 2:2-4 and Luke 6:27-31. We will look at the war passages in the Old Testament and how God is bringing peace to a chaotic world of division.

Make worship a priority this Sunday. Let’s show the world that the Church can not only make a difference, but the Church can make THE difference in this world of need.

See you Sunday.
